Welcome to Red Recruit, Matt!

Since Red Recruit Local started back in 2002 we’ve grown hugely as a company. In that time we’ve seen a number of new desks open and with that a number of new faces.

Today we’d like to take this opportunity to welcome Matt Brown, who is starting at Red Recruit Local as a Senior Recruitment Consultant for our local recruitment division.

Matt has joined us after gaining experience working for Driver Hire, where he was a Senior Consultant for over four years. “The unemployment rate is the lowest it’s been in years throughout Essex” said Matt. “To carry out Red’s mission of supporting the neighbouring community by helping local people find local jobs, Red opened a local recruitment company. I loved the brand and now Red are visionaries, so I decided to join”.

We had the chance to briefly sit down with Matt and ask him a few questions.

How did you get into recruitment? It’s a long way from Policing.

I had a background in sales before working in the public sector. I have a friend who has been in recruitment all her working life, she convinced me to make the move.

How many years have you been involved in the industry?

I’ve been in the industry for four and a half years.

What do you enjoy most about recruitment?

The satisfaction in securing employment for candidates and providing them with a positive experience.

What do you find most challenging?

Remaining composed when dealing with people who have no interest in finding work.

I chose Red as the business has a fantastic potential for growth, and will provide me with the opportunity to progress my career. I would say I have very good knowledge in the logistics sector, so Red and I are the perfect match for success.
